Two years on, the Purrfect Partners program established by Animal Welfare League New South Wales and Kellyville Pets has successfully rehomed more than one hundred cats.
The Purrfect Partner program focuses on the rehoming of adult cats and since the program began in 2011, there have been some amazing second chance stories. Cleo, the cat, was flown all the way to rural Queensland, thanks also to Pet Rescue and Just Pets, and is an example of the lengths these organisations go to, to give animals the life they deserve.
Cleo had been with Animal Welfare League NSW for more than a year before going to Kellyville Pets and it was there, her story was shared and seen even further, resulting in Cleo finally finding a great family to adopt her. Cleo is now living in a loving home where she sprawls out in the Queensland sun! To see her journey on YouTube click here please view a gorgeous video about her at
“Two years on, we are thrilled to announce that thanks to Kellyville Pets, the Purrfect Partner program has now successfully rehomed 114 Animal Welfare League NSW cats. This is an absolutely amazing result and the numbers keep growing each week!” says Jessica Borg, External Relations Manager at Animal Welfare League NSW.
“Each cat rehomed by Kellyville Pets is another life saved, giving us more capacity to help pets in need. We are so very grateful to Kellyville Pets for their continued support and passion, seeing each case through to the end,” says Jessica.
Kellyville Pets are now further helping the cause by holding an amazing Christmas in July raffle, worth more than $5000. The raffle will be drawn on 12 August, and tickets can be purchased at Kellypets or at Animal Welfare League NSW.
